How to Use the Prepaid Accounts on Your Osprey 1Card

The Osprey 1Card enables students to access three separate prepaid accounts:  Ozzie Bucks, Meal Plan and Osprey Dining Dollars.  Each account must be funded prior to use and has unique rules for acceptance and the roll over of funds. (See the summary chart below.)

Ozzie Bucks:

Ozzie Bucks is a prepaid spending account offering a safe and convenient way to make purchases both on and off campus.  It is designed to eliminate the need to carry cash.  Ozzie Bucks is accepted as a form of payment at many campus locations and popular off campus businesses.  Ozzie Bucks is welcomed at all campus dining locations and can supplement Meal Plans and Osprey Dining Dollars for students who have chosen to purchase these options.  Value in Ozzie Bucks rolls over from semester to semester and year to year for as long as you are a member of the University of North Florida community.

Meal Plan:

The meal plan is a nutritionally balanced dining program available to those who wish to take advantage of a guaranteed number of meals per week.  Meal Plans are only accepted at campus dining locations.  Meals must be used each week and do not carry over from week to week. 

Osprey Dining Dollars:

Osprey Dining Dollars are similar to cash value available on meal plans.  Osprey Dining Dollars are only accepted at campus dining locations.  All meal plans have some Osprey Dining Dollars included.

Osprey Dining Dollars are valid during the semester in which they were purchased.  They do not roll over to the next semester or to the following academic year.
